Hi!
When I was a child i don't have many dreams about what i wanted to became an adult or about the dream job. The one I remember is want to be a fashion designer because when was a child i like a lot make clothes from to my dolls with pieces of cloth. When i was 13 years old in the school in the class of art the teacher show us how to make 3D figures like as the cube, the pyramid or the cylinder, I really like make them. In the next 4 years after that I really interested about the technic drawing in which use many types of rulers, compass and pencil.

One of the works I did at school |
In the last two years of school I had a assignature called "Dibujo técnico" that made I'm interest in the architecture. Also in the school I was very good in maths that from what I researched about the major also had it. When I applied to university i don't had more options than Architecture in University of Chile so was to enter the first time or try again the next year. Fortunately I enter!
My firts year of university was really intense, the assignatures was very demanding especially the workshop, I remember spending all day at the faculty even sometimes the weekend. In spite of all I pass all my subjects. In my second year I fail some of the subjects, this made me feel insecure about the career. For this in 2019 I postponed my studies for one year. I'm back in 2020 and until now my studies has gone really well, I hope it's stay that way for the nexts years and to complete my career.

I wanted to be a fashion designer, too. My first year was also hard, I understand you, especially when it's the final weeks of the workshop, they're very hard. All the encouragement and success for you.
ReplyDeleteI think that architecture must be very complex, I see them in the university and they are very exhausted,I have also felt insecure in my career, I understand you, but I honestly think that you can be a great architect!! You can!
ReplyDeleteI loved how your art teacher awakened in you a taste for technical drawing.
